International Trade and Investement Law; The Case of Indonesia

Economic growth is crucial for reducing poverty and improving people’s living standards, particularly in developing countries. International trade through export and foreign direct invesment (FDI) play and increasingly large role in the economic growth. Nevertheless, the conditions that exist in developing countries vary from country to country, and not all the countries enjoy the same benefits from trade and investment. Frol legal perspective, the active involvement in trade and investment agreements along with the readiness of domestic laws and policies will be key factors to gain maximum benefits from international trade and FDI. This book will identify and analyse Indonesia’s Laws and Policies in response to the dynamic development of the international trade and investment. This book will also suggest what Indonesia should do to enjoy benefits from its participation in trade and investment agreement.
